The Non-Technical Side

tony|contosta.com is the newly-formed, self-titled online shelter for tony contosta. I guess it's sorta like a rock band creating their first album. It feels cool to have something named after you. And it's an easy way to get people to remember your site.

I've had many site names in the past, and only now have I realized that I put way too much time into finding a solid site name. After even more thinking, I realized that if my website was my name I would be more recognized in major search engines. Right now, a search for contosta will pull up a whole list of sites referencing a distant relative, David R. Contosta. A few glances in the results will summarize him as a professor-type person who has a few books published. Sounds pretty cool, but that's not me. tony|contosta.com comes in at #18 in the Google search results.

My Friends

I present to you some of my friends - both now and then - and their web presence.

  • Courtney Jones - Sweet lead designer at Reflex with me. He's cool.
  • Andrew Bornand - Owner of Reflex, but a software developer at heart.
  • Bryan Huber - He'll have a site soon. Hopefully it'll be a contosta-built one.
  • Andrew Ault - Another sweet designer. Very cool stuff on his site.
  • Andy Sidesinger - OSUPD Admin friend. I hope he's doing well. I haven't seen him in years.
  • Nick & Anna Fellers - He's Irish. She's a Buckeye. Who has the upper-hand in that relationship?
